Getting to the Stanley Cup Western Conference final has been a long time coming for both the Edmonton Oilers and Colorado Avalanche. So has contesting a playoff series against each other.

Colorado is in the conference final for the first time since 2002. Edmonton’s last trip to the conference final was in 2006. This is the first time these two teams are clashing in the NHL playoff bracket since the second round of the 1998 playoffs.

It’s all coming together this year and when it’s all said and done, oddsmakers are seeing the Avalanche coming out the other side. Colorado is being set as the -250 favorites to win the series.
